Why do you think the author had Macbeth win, though he wrote Fortune seemed to favor Macdonwald?  What sort of man fights like Macbeth did? 
The Author Had macbeth win the fight even though he wrote forturne  favoring macdonwald because he/she wanted to show that macbeth was really a great fighter macbeth is. To even though faith was aginst macbeth he was strong enough to still succeed. A hero is what type of man would fight like macbeth.
